Introduction

I am a complete novice at blogging - actually, this is my first blog.

My name is Lenester Erickson and I am originally from St. Lucia in the Caribbean. St. Lucia is a beautiful island located to the north of St. Vincent and the south of Martinique. Approximately 238 square miles St. Lucia is home to 155,000 people.

Growing up in St. Lucia was very calming and relaxing. I spent much of my time visiting the ocean and reading. My mom, four brothers and one sister still live in St. Lucia - I am the last of six. I try to return home to visit friends and family as often as I can, and in 7 years I have been back 3 times. This is relatively good considering it is about $1,000 to fly there. Although English is my first language, I also speak Patois which is a French African dialect and I studied French for a few years in high school.

I enjoy reading and traveling. The last book I read was Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks. It was a real tear-jerker. I enjoy traveling and visiting other countries and peoples. I have traveled to Kaui, Los Cabos and a few other Caribbean islands. I would really love to see Europe, especially Italy and France and it is my plan to do so in a few years. My husband especially wants to go to see some bike races. He is a big cycling fan and a cyclist as well.
